The dawn of a new sewing age

The Aurora 440QE is the machine that introduced the BERNINA BSR stitch regulator and so transformed freehand quilting forever. The BSR presser foot is standard with the 440QE Quilters Edition, so all quilters can freely embellish their work with even and consistent stitching. Just press the start/stop button and guide your work, BSR does the rest.

But the Auroras are not just for quilting. With up to 379 stitch patterns including 3 alphabets and 7 automatic memory buttonholes (440QE), they offer almost unlimited sewing possibilities. BERNINA innovations like the knee-lifter – an extra hand when sewing large or intricate work -and the bright shadow free Hi-Light are standard. So too, is the famous metal CB shuttle that gives the legendary BERNINA sewing quality.

The Auroras also offer an innovative new way to create beautiful embroidery. Simply attach the optional embroidery module to the Aurora sewing machine and connect to your laptop or PC for a world of wonderful, full colour embroidery. The powerful Editor Lite software (included) lets you quickly and easily adjust size, shape and colours. Unlike conventional embroidery machines, it completely recalculates the stitches required to guarantee fantastic results, no matter how much you change the design. You can add lettering with 5 specialist embroidery alphabets and optionally upgrade to the full power of BERNINA Editor Plus or Designer Plus software for professional quality embroidery creation.
