Beautiful embroidery, beautiful sewing. That's the promise of the Artista 630 and 640. The colour touch screen is centrally positioned for easy viewing and every function is accessed by a simple finger press. Helpful on-screen animations guide you through different tasks.

For quilters and embroiderers, the revolutionary BSR stitch regulator, that transforms freehand stitching, is an option. The knee-operated presser foot lifter which lets you keep both hands on your work at all times is invaluable for all sewers.

The machines offer hundreds of stitch patterns, each sewn with the legendary BERNINA Swiss quality. The 640 includes an automatic thread cutter as well as zig-zag stitches up to an amazing 9mm wide. You can measure buttons on screen and sew perfectly repeatable buttonholes in several styles. The rotary knobs allow you to smoothly adjust stitch width and length while you sew and they are also used for other precision tasks.

Embroidery is fast and precise. Unlike most other machines, you can resize your designs effectively as the stitches are recalculated each time. Change thread colours or brands and add lettering and word art, all shown in full colour, on screen. Over 100 designs are provided with more available on optional USB sticks.
